    You can also craft a regular mirror from lighter colored mirror poster board that will make a lovely addition to any mantelpiece, dresser or wall space. Another fun project to do with mirror cardboard is Artistic Mirrors. Each child gets a large piece of mirror board to work with. In addition, you can use any sort of craft material, from clay to straw to paint and more. Cover much of the surface area with your crafting material, creating patterns, pictures, and themes along the mirror boards. Leave an area of mirror board exposed to keep the reflective paper shining through. Kids can really be creative with this project, expressing their own unique natures in their designs.

    Try this fabulous kaleidoscope craft using shiny mirror boards. Give each child a cardboard tube such as the core of a paper towel roll and a sheet of mirror board. Using a ruler, have children divide their papers into three equal parts, drawing a line down the entire height of the page to separate each section. Now let kids use their rulers to make sharp creases along these lines and fold the mirror board into a triangle. Tape down the edge if it doesn't stick well, and slide into the tube. Now trace the base of the tube onto black paper, and attach this to one end of the tube, using ample amounts of tape. Poke a small hole in the center of your black paper using a pen or scissors' tip. Wrap a piece of plastic wrap around the other end of the tube, leaving an excess amount to create a small pouch that enters into the tube. Fill this pouch with sequins and cut up scraps of metallic paper or mirror board. Finally, seal with a piece of wax paper, and marvel at the beautiful kaleidoscope effect that you've created.
