Most monkey have a tail whereas none of the apes do. All apes, except gorillas, eat chiefly fruit as well as ground plants such as bamboo shoots and wild celery. Most kinds of monkeys eat almost anything they find including birds, birds` eggs, frogs, insects, lizards, nuts, roots, flowers, leaves and grass. Baboons (old world monkeys) may even eat a newborn antelope!!
