Try this adorable velour paper project with any group or individual for a guaranteed afternoon of entertainment and enjoyment. Glue or sew buttons onto a sheet of velour paper. This can be done in a random manner to create an expressive abstract or in a pre-drawn pattern or design. A cute alternative is to have the buttons finish off a picture or design. For example, use another form of art supply (this can be sand, paint, newspaper, or any other supply or recyclable of your choice) to draw a baby's bottle. Finish off the nipple using buttons.

    This is a really fun project to make and it is easy to do. Choose a simple subject because the velour paper really enhances this project, making complicated designs or drawings unnecessary. Draw leaves of a tree and finish the trunk with buttons, make faces and intersperse your buttons within, draw a clock face and have different buttons for every number.
