Many people associate the color orange with pumpkins... maybe it's because that was the orange craft they did way back when learning colors in preschool! This easy color craft is a fun, easy and inexpensive way to teach orange!
Paint the Paper Plate with orange washable paint. Allow to dry.
Cut out eyes, nose, mouth and stem from Black Paper, and glue in appropriate places.
Tips for Teachers:
Before children begin their color crafts, have them brainstorm as many orange objects as they can. Provide them with orange crayons, and allow them to decorate one side of the paper plate by drawing orange things. Then turn over the plate and begin painting.
Besides for being a great educational tool in teaching colors, the above idea can also be a practical way to occupy the children while the teacher gets the rest of the supplies ready for the craft.
Caution: Sharp scissors should be used by adults only.
