Thanksgiving is an American holiday in which we pause and give thanks for all of the blessings in our lives? What are you grateful for?
This is a fun and easy project which children of all ages can participate in and show their gratitude! It can be as simple or complex as you like and it is limitlessly customizable. You only need a few items to get started.
MATERIALS USED FOR THIS PROJECT:
DECORATE YOUR OWN!
There is no wrong way to decorate your Gratitude List Thanksgiving Placemat. Add Hygloss Stickers or a Hygloss Turkey Bright Shape as a flourish or you can illustrate what you are grateful for on your placemat – it’s up to you!
From the classroom to the dinner table
One idea you might want to try if you are using this activity for a classroom, daycare, or church function would be to have the kids decorate their placemat and then hang them on the wall as posters, two or three weeks prior to Thanksgiving. Right before you send the kids home for their Thanksgiving dinner with their families, give them their Gratitude Placemats to take with them to use as their place setting at home.
We hope that you enjoy this craft idea! Stay tuned for additional holiday craft ideas to come!
