Spring Flower Frames

Supplies Box

  1. Create flowers out of 3, 4 or 5 Colored wooden Spoons. Place a large dot of glue in the center of the first spoon, and place the 2nd spoon on top of it but slightly at a different angle. Repeat with remaining spoons. (Tip: it's a good idea to choose all your spoons and set them up the way you would like your flower to look. Then take it apart and start gluing.)
  2. Glue a pom-pom to the middle of each flower.
  3. To create a stem: you will need to cut one green spoon in half with a pair of good quality scissors. Glue 1 1/2 green spoons together for the stem and 1/2 for the leaf. The leaf should begin under the stem.
  4. Glue desired number of flowers onto a frame.
  5. With your glue bottle, write a spring message or a name on the frame. Adults should do this for young children. It is a good idea to write it in pen/ pencil first, and then trace over with glue.
  6. Pour Glitter over wet glue, covering the glue completely. Gently shake off excess glitter over garbage or scrap paper.
  7. Lay flat to dry.
  8. Optional: Attach a self-adhesive EZ Hangup to the back of the frame to enable easier hanging.
  9. When everything is glued in place, write the rhyme. (We chose to write half in the umbrella and half near the flowers.)
