Handmade Valentine Card

Warm someone's heart this Valentine's Day! This handmade Valentine card is perfect to send any loved one. The velour paper gives it a touch of gentleness and warmth, and the ribbon adds a finishing touch. So get crafting!
Handmade Valentine Card

Supplies Box

  • Hygloss Velour Paper - red and pink used
  • Hygloss Parchment Paper
  • White Card Stock
  • Ribbon (white/silver)
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick


  1. Cut the white card to 12 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches wide.
  2. Cut the red velour to 7 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Cover the top of the card with red. Fold over the extra width to the back and tape down.
  3. Cut the red velour to 4 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Cover the bottom of the card with pink. Fold over the extra width to the back and tape down.
  4. Put pink parchment paper on top of the pink velour, starting half an inch under top of pink velour. (Parchment should be 4 1/4"x6".)
  5. Print out the Valentine Card Pattern, or simply draw the letters and hearts by yourself.
  6. Trace the letters "L O V E" onto pink velour and cut out. Glue onto parchment on bottom of card.
  7. Heart 1 should be pink velour, Heart 2 should be on pink parchment paper and Heart 3 should be red velour. Use glue stick to attach one on top of the other, and to glue down to card.(as shown in picture above)
  8. Heart 4 should be pink, Heart 5 shuold be parchment. Glue on as shown in picture above.
  9. Heart 6 should be red, Heart 7 should be pink, and glue on as shown.
  10. Cut ribbon about 2 feet long and tie around card with a bow, one on top and the other on bottom.
