Snowy Penguin Craft

Snowy Penguin Craft

When our class was finished learning all about Snow and Penguins, we wanted to create a snow craft of our own. I created this snow scene before class and showed it to my students as an example. The children were then given penguin paper cut outs and we painted ours with the colors black, white, orange and yellow. We took sheets of cardstock and covered them with snowflake tissue paper. The children then cut out a snow bank in any shape they chose from velour paper. They glued down the snow and then the penguins (now dry from being painted) and gave the penguins wiggly eyes as well. You can also create a large snowy scene on your bulletin board and then have each student decorate and add a penguin of their very own. The children were all excited to create a piece of wintertime that doesn’t melt away!
