Wood Spring Frame

Supplies Box

  • Hygloss Wooden Frames
  • Hygloss Sunflowers Wood Shapes
  • Hygloss 1" Tissue Mosaic Squares
  • Hygloss Glitter
  • Modpodge (You may substitute a mixture of equal parts craft glue and water; this will work well but will not give your Picture Frame Craft the same shine as Modpodge.)
  • Craft glue or tacky glue
  • Paint brush (either foam or a small thin one)

  1. Choose a color of tissue squares to cover the frame. Using your foam paintbrush, coat the entire surface of the frame with Modpodge. Place Tissue Squares on frame and cover completely. The Tissue that extends past the edges of the frame should be folded over and pressed down to the back of the frame.
  2. Paint another layer of Modpodge over the Tissue. This will allow the tissue to adhere to the wood more strongly, as well as give it an extra shine.
  3. Covering the flowers follows the same method as the frame. Coat each flower with Modpodge, then Tissue Squares, and then more Modpdge. Care should be taken to press the Tissue into the crevices between the flowers' petals. A thin paintbrush, the flat edge of a foam paintbrush, or a Popstick all work well for this.
  4. Sprinkle glitter lightly over the flowers while the Modpodge is still wet.
  5. Allow flowers to dry. Then glue flowers onto the frame as desired.
